Junior Customer Service Specialist

Arek started at LEONI as an Intern. After this period, he was offered a job as a Junior Customer Service Specialist.

My story at LEONI

When I arrived at LEONI, during my internship, I was supporting Specialists. Many times I had to send messages to deputies during the absence of one of them. Already then I felt that I had great support from my colleagues.

Gradually, I was entrusted with increasingly more difficult and complex tasks. tasks.

Later, minor perturbations in the staff guaranteed me an episode of supporting production planning. Despite my limited knowledge of production itself, I was entrusted with supporting this very important area of the company and at a rather turbulent moment. However, that time passed and I definitely wanted to stay in the company after the internship, which I finally managed to do.

Shortly thereafter, I became a Junior Customer Service Specialist. Now I try to constantly improve my process and work discipline

My job

I start my typical workday at 7 a.m. with a glass of cold water, and my team and I prepare for the day ahead at our meeting spot. Then I follow the same routine, checking for any backlog and promptly responding to clients with urgent messages.

Often, new cases arise during my work, which can be a bit overwhelming. I need to focus on the task at hand to avoid jumping to what may seem like more urgent tasks. Staying disciplined and organized helps me throughout the day.

Lunch break is primarily a time for conversation. I try to be the life of the party, although it doesn't always work effectively. We appreciate the openness and willingness of the team to discuss, although we don't have much time for it during work hours.

In the afternoon, I often deal with new orders or complex questions. I prefer the latter as it allows me to analyze and delve into topics. While it can slow me down, it also ensures I provide knowledgeable and confident answers.

By around 3 p.m., I focus on tidying up my inbox and wrapping up the day's tasks. We aim to respond to messages promptly, but sometimes topics require cross-departmental collaboration and operational analysis.

We often leave work in pairs or smaller groups, joking about catching the tram or train, and reflecting on our day during the journey home.

My highlights

The most thrilling moment in my work was receiving a phone call from an agitated client. At the time, I was relatively new to the company and was tasked with managing the mailbox and duties of a senior specialist who was absent. Despite being able to handle only simple queries, the client found my phone number in the email footer and called me directly. Feeling compelled to address the issue, I conducted the conversation and made necessary system changes to appease the client. My heart raced, and I had to quickly brush up on my English. I was relieved to have successfully resolved the situation on my own within a short period.

My view of LEONI as an employer

I work for LEONI because the company gave me a chance. Initially, I joined as an intern during my studies. I truly appreciate that LEONI and the management team recognize the potential in their employees and develop plans for their growth. Weaknesses are supported, while strengths are strengthened. Communication and transparency in conversations with colleagues and superiors are strong assets of the company. Many times, I've approached someone with a question and ended up with a task!

The work culture is solid and collaborative. Each team has its recurring tasks, and failing to complete them can disrupt others' workflow. In customer service, we maintain a solid foundation that supports each of us. Throughout the supply chain, we are closely connected, and if one of us overlooks a mistake, another quickly notices and suggests a solution. We often support each other. Some customer groups are less active on certain days or weeks, possibly due to cultural differences. If one of us is overwhelmed, others step in to help and work together on solutions.

LEONI in 3 words? Solidity, Effectiveness, Self-discipline
